ABOUT

We’re a small Czech brand built
around simplicity. In design, making,
communication, and everything we do.
We’re not from the industry. We didn’t
study fashion or design. We like things
that work. Things we can use every day.
For years. We don’t plan to grow.
And if we do, we want to grow slowly.
We’re small, local, and we want to stay
that way. We enjoy supporting and
working with local craftspeople. It’s
the part we enjoy most.

MATERIALS AND SUPPLIERS

We source all our materials from Czech
suppliers and manufacturers. Our leather is
processed in the Valašsko region by the last
remaining Czech tannery. Our press studs
come from Koh-i-noor in Vršovice.
The cutting dies for the leather are made by
Mr Jan in Petrovice, Prague. Our leather balms
come from a small family business in Trpišov.

MAKING

Most of our work happens in Podolí, Prague.
To cut the shapes from leather, we drive to
Smečno near Kladno, where we use an old
Baťa press in Mr Oldřich's garage.
When we were starting out, Mr Petr helped
us with prototyping and testing on his press
in his workshop in Stodůlky. He now cuts the
straps for our bags.
Every product is made from a single piece of
leather that we simply fold. No joins. No seams.
Look after them and they'll last you years.

SUSTAINABILITY

We use naturally dyed cowhide, obtained
as a by-product of the meat industry.
Vegetable-tanned leather is kinder to the
environment. It is exceptionally durable and
made with a significantly lower environmental
impact.
